Woody!
Not quite the Woody you might have expected.
Found this one (Apodemus sylvaticus) as I went to one of our feeding stations this afternoon. He saw me and scarpered, but took a wrong turning and ended out on a limb. Here he's trying to decide whether the jump is worth it or not! (He changed his mind and went back!!) :jump:

Thanks for looking.

Great chance shot and funnily enough those OOF branches that radiate in a star like fashion seem to set it of. :toast:

Great find Ian.
Focus is right where it should be, I agree with the major re. the branches.

Nice one Ian... not something that you get the opportunity to photograph in the wild very often... can't say I blame it for scarpering

A very unusual shot that works really well, I like that a lot.

Thanks everyone.
I did wonder about the 'star' effect. I liked it and therefore didn't touch it save for a small crop off the left of the frame where a stray one went vertical!

thanks for your kind comments.

Well, when I see 'woody', being of a funny age, I expect Woodpigeon - so this came as one hell of a surprise - nice capture Ian :toast:
