A brace of Bewicks & repost
(OK actually Whooper swans, but not such a catchy title...)
I had a business meeting near Ely in Cambrideshire today, so managed to arrange half an hour around the washes with the principal aim to put the Oly E-3 through some action work. I found a large group of swans out on the farm fields S/E of the Washes banks that were flying too/from the Hundred Foot Drain washes in small parties

Techs - Oly E-3, E Zuiko 300mm F2.8 (FOV 600mm in old money), 1/1,250s at F8, iso 400 and hand held. AF - point mode fine, continuous and single AF point activated, 5-FPS, IS mode 2 Metering centre weighted and -2/3 ev compensation. I haven't reviewed all the images yet, but so far it is 100% in focus and sharp, but there again these are relatively slow flying birds and easy to pick up and track.

Lovely flight shot!
I think it could use a bit of curves in PS to make the Swans stand out just a bit more from that wonderful BG.
Great job on comosition, pose and POV.

Hi Mike,

Superb flight shot! Love the way you got them together like that! I agree with Jeroen a slight lift will help the swans stand out more!

nicely captured and well composed. I agree a bit more contrast might help.

Ah now I am on a different monitor it is a bit dark - I used my ageing Tosh laptop late last night to process rather than my calibrated desktop

Very nice shot, with some nice texture to the sky as well.

as suggested a small tweak to the curves
