Rick's recent post of a great blue heron got me thinking about this one from a couple of years ago in FL. These birds are so prehistoric. This particular bird was incredibly bold about stealing bait and getting handouts from fishermen. It was actually kind of freaky.

"Give me the bait and no one gets hurt!" Kind of like I am with chocolate

I don't know much about wildlife images, but this shot has real interest and power to my eye, Dan. It does appear soft on my monitor, although you hand held it so maybe that's as good as it gets.
A heron with attitude! It's really great when you can capture a moment like this that shows a wild creature that is being so much more of an individual than we normally tend to think they are capable of.
