Okay! That's my particular thing, so how about this for some more experimentation with panning. The crocus suddenly exploded in my neighborhood. Too busy to get out farther , but soon, I'm outa here-- to anywhere that's outa here!

Nice shooting, everyone. Been fun to see where you've all been.
Yes, indeed, a good destination for sure. David Cobb has some great posts in Flora from the area. He's been around Catherine Creek that I remember, and no doubt elsewhere. Perhaps he'll see this and let us know.
Catherine - I hate to complain and I"m not one for posting my own images. Now that I've admitted it, want to say that this hurts. May be the recent migraine, but this hurts. Nancy
Oh, boy… Nancy, I most surely meant NO offense! I clearly used the wrong words that I can see now implied that I was the ONLY flower expert and enthusiast. My statement intended no exclusivity. Intentions aside, I humbly make a public apology to everyone, especially you, Nancy. I am so sorry. Everyone. Really, I am.
Oh I think this got taken completely out of context. Nancy has been fighting a mean migraine and a tweaky back. Looking at your image made her eyes hurt from trying to focus on something that isn't "focusable" - if that's a word...
Fear not Catherine! No harm no foul, just a bad day on Nancy's part. I'm tryin to baby her but of course I suffer from being a bit of a bull in a china closet.
I think the image is cool and it certainly made me run out and see how our crocuses are doing and their blossoms have opened right up!!! Come on Spring!!!!

Ooohh! Cool! Actually, warm colors, bled together expertly, I love it!
I'm a flower guy - I'll have something posted when they break through the ice over here in snow country.
Catherine - From the Mosier Syncline to Catherine Creek on the WA side of the gorge, there are plenty of flowers in bloom and I'll be shooting out there again this weekend. I've heard they're beginning to sprout on the OR side around Rowena too. In the wetter areas further west, the pussypaws should be coming up any minute now.
Hey, thanks, Marc and David! Rick, too, for the explanation– with a migraine, I wouldn't want to look at a panned image either! As you can see my mind did double loops on that comment...
Okay, well I vote for more flowers on this board, just short of making the uber-landscape, adventure guys (who take such marvelous photos time after time) weep.
Catherine, EXACTLY what Rick said. No offense taken at all. The image in it's BRIGHT Orange blur literally hurt. Between a migraine on Monday and my back being out, I'm confident that most of what I say or write is not exactly clear.
In every other way, I love flowers and am totally excited to see what pops up in our yard.
Nancy
Thanks, Nancy. TWO women having a bad day wreaked some havoc around PNWNP! Gotta keep the fellas alert.
Thanks everyone. PNWNP rocks.

Catherine, as always, this is creative and bold - you've got a special knack for this stuff! But I hope you'll indulge me in the following tune, which your image inspired me to hum....

I'm wondering if anything would be out yet? Might be worth a trip to see.
