Hello everyone here's one from yesterday 3-4-08. Snow wasn't that deep around richland maybe 3" and didn't last long. Comments appreciated.

Very nice Gale! Normally I'm a bit turned off by muddy water, but it works well here.

Substantially different look for this falls than the usual. Looks like a northern waterfall.

Nice shot.

Gale, I like the perspective and tight comp. That's a lot of water. Why didn't you wade across above the falls? This might be a good BW candidate. I'm on the fence about the muddy water. I just noticed the little branches on the lower right. I might clone them out.

Nice work, Gale! I was wondering who had gotten there first yesterday. My first stop was over at Pam's Grotto, then I beat it over to Falling Water just in time to get a few shots before the sun popped out.

It sure was good to see so much water yesterday. After the sun came out, I put up the camera and just sat around on some rocks, ate lunch, and took a short nap. Best day I've had in a long time...

A pretty winter scene Gale, nice work. There have been some comments about muddy water but man, if you want to see muddy water come up to my neck of the woods (plains)! This ain't nothin' ... we've got muddy rivers/creeks! Good stuff!

Nice shot and a lot of water! I can see you in your Kayak going over the falls!

Bill I was sure that was your truck parked at your favorite spot. I almost went of into the woods looking for you to say hello. I guess you'll post one of images later.

Tom I have run this drop many times over the years. Actually last time I ran it the creek was much higher. My buddy Ryan was ahead of me and got stuck in the hole I of course couldn't see him until I was coming over the drop and then it was to late. Luckily I didn't nail him to hard but did knock him out of the hole.

The creek really isn't that muddy, It's just when you give the saturation a bump it brings out the natural ozarks water color.

Thanks everyone for all the comments and suggestions.

Gale - I don't suppose your buddy caught in the hole was Ryan Johnson was it? Ryan taught at Rogers for several years, and actually lived about a half mile from our house before he moved to Little Rock...

No Bill my friend is Ryan Watts from Fort Smith.

Nice to see this in full flow, Gale - so often it's just a trickle.
