Here we go again...
Looks like the weatherman is predicting snow again for tomorrow night, the same 8" prediction as Monday night when we barely got an inch in Rogers. Anyway, here is a shot from Pam's Grotto Tuesday morning. There was some dude rummaging around at the base of the falls when I took this one, so I included him to give you a sense of scale. After I took this shot, I saw him up above the falls carrying some big rocks over to the edge. I'm sure glad none of them fell on top of my head! Rumor has it he was spotted down at Longpool falls later in the morning. He sure was packing a nice camera...

Yep ... accidents can happen out in the woods Bill! Be careful out there.

Man, you all have it so good in Arkansas. I sure wish there was stuff like this within a reasonable drive of my place. Nice work Bill ... thanks for sharing! :wavey:

Hey man, you need to be more careful where you point that old camera of yours - look at what an old buzzard you captured!

As as noted under the rock that day, the new piece of glass will be here tomorrow PM. My wife insisted. Really. I sure could have used it here. (I had to buy a used 112mm polarizer from B&H to go with it since they don't stock any new ones that large.)

They are calling for some snow tomorrow? Hot dog! I just realized that I don't need any wildflowers until March 22nd so bring on the snow...

I wouldn't believe any of that stuff in the Journal - it was just to drum up some sympathy, ha! You've got to admit this is one of those special places that has magic. Must be the namesake...

Hey Bill, here is a four or five shot stitch from another position - let's see, with the overlap that would make this about 80-100mp, but who is counting...By the way, if you like I can show you how to get rid of that old rat in your photo - just show him some sharp cheddar cheese

Pam's Grotto Pano

That really is a special place, Tim - such a primordial/primitive feel to it (nothing to do with Pam, mind you). As I was driving on top of the mountain down Hwy. 7, where the snow was coming down pretty hard, I had visions of getting a shot with blowing snow in the BG. As you know, once down in the valley, that vision disappeared about as fast as the snow did.

Nice work on the pano! I'm pretty sure I'll be back if we get the snow we're supposed to get and will try that. I did get a single shot of a similar composition, but would not enlarge to the degree that a 4 or 5 frame stitch would. I should think of that more often, but guess I was in a hurry get over to Falling Water before the sun came out.

Very nice comp, Bill. I thought Tim was talking about you in his journal. This is one of those place I never visited while in Arkansas. It never seemed to be very wet when I was in that area. Can't wait to get back and give it a good look. Looks like an amazing place.
