So I went out to Pam's Grotto Friday hoping that there would be some photo mojo still hanging in the air from all the talent that was there on Tuesday.

Bill said he got there at 8:30 and someone had already been there before him - that must have been you! My only question is where did you go after that? I think the air got recharged with your visit...

Nice work, Randy. I think you got there just as I was about to leave. I saw a blue car pull up while I was down at the creek. Then a few minutes later, Gale arrived on the scene. From there I headed over to Falling Water Creek where I found Tim test driving some new glass, who said there were 5 or 6 photogs down at the falls. For such crappy driving conditions, there sure were a lot of us out. Maybe we should think about having a winter gathering...

Nice shot Randy, I really like the composition you chose on the one.

Great original take this, Randy; it appears you climbed way up for this one. I've only been to Pam's Grotto once, but I found that the spot you shot this photo from is another thing that makes the grotto so special. One can tell that a huge chunk of rock broke away from the bluff, leaving the vast hole.

Nice to see another perspective of this wonderful place. Well executed, Randy.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. This was actually the last place I visited on Friday after getting to the Ponca bridge before first light and taking a short hike from there, then not being able to get to several locations as I worked my way along 74 to Jasper and then south along 7.

So I guess the Toyota pick-up at the Pam's Grotto trailhead was Bill's. And I guess that was Gale Rainwater who arrived at the grotto just as I was finishing up. Did anyone get over to Haw Creek falls? I took a few shots over there before heading up to the grotto.
