Flirty Lady
1D2n, 600mm f4 is, 1/1250s, f8, iso 250.

The sun came out and the wind eased a little for the first time in a couple of weeks. Was hoping for something else but couldn't resist this lady begging to have her photo taken.

Hi Ian,

Very , very nice capture , superb sharpness and a gorgeous BG , excellent use of DOF and a great POV , how did you manage to get so low ??? , needs a little CW rotation aswell.

Hi Ian,

Disregard my comment on the "CW rotation" , on second thoughts I think it's an illusion caused by the foreground DOF , anyway , it's one of the nicest Mallard shots i've seen for a while.

"how did you manage to get so low ???"

Andy, the outlet of the pond is a small dam. I sit on a rock in the stream with the tripod set so that the lens is at water level. The best time is early morning in december when the sun rises right behind me - but it doesn't actually do that too often!!

Wonderful shot Ian!
Love the low angle and the smooth OOF and BG!
The wing pose tops it off!
Well done!
