Hi Robert,

Nice shot. I like the way the OoF FG frames the Toad. Also the texture of it's skin shows up very well. Very nice.

Regards

yes, I agree, a nice shot. I'm not quite sure about the portrait composition but that may be just me.

Very nicely caught, great texture.I too feel the portrait crop may not be the best.

Yes better crop will make the Toad not compete for postion with the OOF foliage IMO.
Looks like Toady is just a coming round the bend. :toast:

I think that is a shot that you could crop in any manner of different formats and still get a good picture. I quite like it as it is with lots of other detail around without being too distracting. I like to see some environment in wildlife pics.

This works for me and great to get a really good glimpse of the toad's surroundings, which I find particularly attractive with all that fresh looking greenery. :toast:

For those who would prefer a landscape composition I'm going to try to post one with this reply. Not so well up on the old computer wizadry and the last time I tried this it didn't work so here goes.

Hi Robert
I think both formats have there appeal but I prefer the first it looks a little more secretive and less open.

Personally I prefer the 2nd one, it looks a touch more balanced to me.
