Hi,

I’m not sure about this one. Is the background too busy or too bright?

Many thanks,

He's a bit too central for my taste Paul, but that's just me :wavey: Nice capture all the same - it better than any BB in my collection:toast:

I wouldn't mind the BG so much if it wern't quite so well defined - I'm a bit surprised it's come out like this at f4

I agree with Andy, its a bit too central for me as well, colours look a bit off towards the magenta too, otherwise its a nice image.

Hi Paul

Very nice, love the low shooting angle and the OOF grasses work well. Maybe a tad magenta but I don't mind the central position in this shot because it is more or less head on!

Paul,

nice capture and framing is ok for me, agree with comments on the colour cast, looks very cold on my (admittedly uncalibrated) monitor. reminds me I should process some of my BB shots from last year.

cheers

John

Hmm I like the image, the OOF grass frames it nicely and draws the eye to the subject.

I agree the WB seems a little off, i'd also see if you can pull any more detail out of the blacks too?

Lovely "peek-through" shot Paul!
It does look like it's suffering a bit from a magenta cast.
Otherwise a fine shot!

Hello Paul.

Nice shot of the Black Bird and I like the OOF foreground. Composition is ok for me, but I think I might darken the two bright areas to the right of the bird. :wavey:

Nice one Paul. Maybe a bit off the rhs & warm it up? Nice shot.

Paul, I like the eye contact and pose. There's something funny going on though that I can't fathom! I agree with the comments about the colours and central position. The beak looks a little hot on my monitor. I think it would be worth making some of the changes already suggested and a re-post would be interesting. I don't have a decent shot of a blackbird!

Hi Paul,

Love the low viewpoint with just the right amount of blurred foreground. A nice bright eye too thanks to the head turn.
Would be worth giving the colours a slight tweak to just lose that slight magenta cast.
Very envious as I can't get within 50 yards of my local blackbirds for some reason.

Hi Paul,

I like the low viewpoint very much, but in my opinion it is a bit too central. Nevertheless a fine picture.

Thanks everyone for your comments - I don't know how I missed the colour cast!

Hope this is better!

Many thanks,

Repost definitely is better, Paul. I would crop a bit from one of the sides.... :wavey:
