Not that aware of any great sites as yet, but the countryside around Silverdale and Leighton Moss is great to wander through. Trowbarrow and Gait Barrows nature reserves to the North of the RSPB place are walkable from Silverdale station and take in some more reedy pools and wooded hillsides. Saw some marsh harriers up there last summer and the limestone gorge is quite picturesque.

2 repliesI know of the feeding stations in the car parks at Grizedale forest so may try for Nuthatch unless you can suggest a better spot.
Any tips for Leighton Moss and obliging Beardies or Bittern this year??
All suggestions most appreciated
Thanks
