Photo chopped Cardinal
My son asked if I had a full frame image of a male Northern Cardinal. Technically, not really, so I took a horizontal and cropped to vertical, instantly making it full frame. I selected the BG and replaced it with an OOF fall background I had for just such an occasion, and lowered the opacity, then cloned twigs that were OOF anyway and didn't come through the layering process very well.

I know I clipped a corner of the tail in camera, but I think that's minor. All in all....what's the verdict? Any changes I should make, or does it work as is?

I like it. It looks like it easily could be on a greeting card. The image on my computer seems like the contrast is lower than I'd like, and I might push the saturation a bit more, but I don't know if it's my monitor or what...

I can't help you at all with the technical stuff, but the image looks good to me. I might prefer a little more room all the way around, but that's minor.

Great work. I'm a colour person so more sat would be in order for me, just my preference tho. Love the BG, perch, as well as the expression on his face. :toast:

My monitor may be a bit dark but it seems you could lighten it a bit.. Nice shot and editing Toni!

I would also push the saturation and just a touch of contrast.
