lincolnshire owl at dusk
I have been doing a lot of barn owl work over the winter and lincolnshire is blessed with these birds. This image was taken about 5 miles outside of lincoln in an area where there were a lot of wintering birds. This bird kept roosting on these posts so i parked the car on the other side of the lane and put on a wide angle lens as i wanted to try and capture a sunset image, sitting on the floor next to the car i covered myself with army camo and waited for the bird to turn up. it took 3 evening but i was lucky on the third evening and as i took repertive images the bird looked straight at me.

Excellent shot, would be worth trying again with a 'blip' of flash to add detail to the Barn owl.

Agree with everything said before :toast:

But I have a nit - be nice if the BO was actually in focus :frown:

very nice idea and a beautiful sunset, but i agree with Andy that it's a bit too soft on the owl

Very nice and I like the way that you have tried for something a bit different.
