Very nice shot, Paul. I would cut off the sharp leaves at the left side.
Robins are everywhere around us. But that does not mean they are easy to capture.
Have Fun!

Hello Paul.
Nice sharp image of the robin with a good eye light.
Dont know if you have cropped at all but a bit of the left and top and give it a bit more along the bottom edge will postion the Robin better IMO.
Not sure if it is my monitor but it looks like there is a lot of moire patterning/information loss in a lot of the breast feathers radiating out and away from the eye is this a jpeg or raw file conversion?

Bit central for me too Paul, but he still looks cute
A nice pose Paul with a good bright catchlight. The glare off of the background leaves pulls your eye away from the Robin slightly. Perhaps try and entice him to a more photogenic spot. A couple of slices of bread in the food processor works a treat with the Robin's loving the fine breadcrumbs.

Hi Paul,
The bird is too low down in the frame for me and AndyA has covered my main nit , the lack of feet , looks to have a Yellow / Green cast to it aswell.
Re-compose and give him his feet back and you'll have the making of a nice image.

All been said really. Nice ground pic though. Certainly could do to be "up " in the frame though

Thanks for all your comments! always appreciated!
I left this full frame as I had no room for his virtual feet! May try a square crop with this later!
In the future I'll either move the AF point or turn the camera round for a portrait composition to help get some foregound in!

You could certainly have some off the lhs & the green colour cast is quite obvious on my monitor, Paul. nice pic though. Great thing about Robins - you will always get another ! Eric
