As much as I would like to be out taking pix, work is getting crazy and most of my free time is being swallowed up by a house my wife and I our building. So I thought I would post some bench-warmers from this winter.
What do you all think of this one? I wanted to get down lower and closer but I was in a really funky position as it was and just couldn’t do it. I waited as long as I could for the sun, which just got swallowed in the murk.
The flat area is the Cashmere Riverside Park walkway.
Don’t have the technical details with me.

I actually like the effect. To me this is almost a Photo Art image. The ice looks like metal. I think its very cool ( no pun intended)

Hmmm, metal. Never thought of that. It was thaw conditions that day and sure didn't feel like metal as I slipped around out there. Almost went swimming.
I like this a lot! the moodiness and starkness are very compelling.
I'm not one to feel that every image needs to be 'pretty" and with blue kies and bright flowers. the ones most interesing to me are often NOT those.
I like the foreground trickle of water through the ice and the lighting is fantastic. However, it leads the eye to a background that doesn’t quite have the same drama as that of the foreground. Overall, a very nice post.

I actually like it a lot Marc, especially the foreground as noted above. You might try opening up the foreground just a little more, especially the sun's reflection, to emphasize it even more.
