I was wondering if anyone has used the BG-E2 battery grip from the Canon 30D on the Canon 40D?

Yes. I use that grip... from my older 20d. Works just fine. Gives it great balance.

Thanks Chad,,,,I have one on my 30D and just ordered a 40D. Glad I don't have to upgrade the grip.
