Cape Spear Lighthouse - Repost
This is another angle of the most eastern point in North America at sunrise.

Canon 20D 10-22 @22mm ISO 100 f8 @ 1/2s

No comments? Crumb… I like the comp, Ryan. Overall, the photo looks very blue to me. Probably the effect of the directional, low angle light, yes? but for some reason all that shadow and "blueness" makes me feel uncomfortable... Bringing the top of the frame down a bit seems to enhance the blush of pink along the horizon. I think this image is worth more tweaking in post-processing.

The photo is a bit blue and I intentially left it that way because I liked it, but I am going to play with it some more. I think it does have some more potential. The sky is pretty plain, so I may try a crop down on that too. Thanks for the ideas.

Very nice image and I rather like the overall blueish tone, as well as, the open sky. It provides the “lone sentinel gazing out over the ocean” feel. If I were to change anything I might shift the lighthouse a bit more to the center. I know it’s against the rules, but this would emphasize the relationship of the lighthouse to the sea as opposed to the lighthouse and the keepers house.

I agree playing with the blue and sky crop are worth exploring, but this is a nice lighthouse photo, very well exposed.

A slightly re-cropped and color corrected version.
