my back yard

minimal processing, just a few luminosity tweaks and some burning and dodging.

Weird and whimsical. Auntie Em! Auntie Em! I'm off to see the wizard...

Very cool shot. Definitely something different and interesting.

That's a crazy good shot! The scraggly tree is hysterical. Very imaginative and fun to look at.

If only the leaves on the ground were more concentric toward center, I think it would be perfect. Not sure if I'm floating away or getting sucked in. Very cool!

How do you stay on?

Very creative Michael! It's a nice little visual adventure allowing the eyes to wander and explore all the details. Well done.

rick, since it's my home planet, i've become accustomed to the low gravity due to the small mass. however because of the high rotation rate, i've become quite old since moving here.

Very cool Michael! What lens and stitching software are you using?

Its a small, small world after all...

john, i use a nikon 10.5 fish, and ptgui for the stitching.

this is just another projection type for full 360 degree panoramas

these are really fun, i like this particular one best because it is my yard and it says something like 'my home is my planet' or something like that to me

Actually, I really like your last take on it, Michael. Have you ever done this with a natural scene? Did I miss it here?

tom,
no natural scene yet, definitely in the plans though. plenty of urban ones and some semi natural ones. this projection tends to need tall close things with nothing directly above i'm keeping my eyes open for that one

mmm
