Identification help need please
Frogs and toads are not my speciality so can anyone give me the common and latin name for this chap/chap'ess please?

Many thanks.

I'd say Common Toad - Bufo bufo Jan - and a wet one at that :toast:

Many thanks.

I was out to photograph tree creepers and as I set up my tripod I nearly stood on him! (or her)

As I went further down the path there were loads of them, the loch was coated in spawn and the toads in the pond were at like rabbits (as the saying goes....although I supposed they were really at it like toads).

I got some great shots so that was an added bonus.

Well Jan - you are usually bound to end up with images of something else, or an empty card - little gits are impossible

Did you get any?

Yes, quite a few decent shots. I was also on the look out for red squirrels but they proved more elusive. The only one I saw was road kill (very sad given their rarity).
