Cabin Fever
I don't know about everyone else but I'm suffering from a major case of cabin fever. The little warming trend we've had the last week or so has really gotten me fired up for spring.

I awoke early this morning and took a peak outside and found light fog and stars up above. I thought this might make for a nice sunrise so I jumped in the car and drove to Summit Lake State Park in East Central Indiana. Unfortunately, the sun just couldn't break through the fog to create some drama. I did luck out when a couple geese showed up on the scene.

It sure was nice to get outside.

Regards,
mike

Nice image, Mike. It does tell me that it's early Spring with this morning fog and the bare trees on the right.

I had a real taste of Spring yesterday while visiting in Kalamazoo, MI...temps reached almost 60°F with full sun shine. Bring it on already!!!

Mike,Did you use your new Nikon D-3 for this shot? Was it handheld or on a tripod? What ISO did you use? Nice composition!

It's been a gradual thing here.. Our driveway is an ice rink! I love your shot, Mike! I'm curious about the details too..

I'm with you on the cabin fever, Mike. I like the composition of your shot and the subtle colors. The geese were a nice touch.

Yeah this was with my new D3. Shot with a 70-200...ISO200, 1/45s @ f11, 100mm, from a tripod.

Mike, looks like your making the best of our brown and gray spring. Nice shot.

After looking at this a little more I thought a B&W conversion may work better. What do you think?

I prefer the color version, Mike. The area on the right loses some of it's subtle detail and the brightness of the sky is a bit too much for my taste.

Very moody image, Mike. Overall, I prefer the color version, but both are very nice, highly evocative shots.
