Borders landscape
Nikon D300 w. Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 @ 12mm

Tripod & cable release

Haven't posted anything since last autumn, largely due to work and weather. Rain finally cleared this evening and managed to grab an hour up the glen with new camera. Don't take many landscapes but, there being no insects about yet, thought I'd play about with a wide lens on one of the burns behind us. Light wasn't the most dramatic but sky got a bit more interesting just as the sun set behind the hills.

Hi Malcom,

Interesting landscape! The composition works well. The blurring of the water is nice but a little bright for me! I'd personally would have tried ND filters on the day but this can be done in photoshop. I think adding such a filter would help make a nice capture, a superb capture!

Thanks Paul - I did make a bit of a mess of the post processing and then realised that I had even forgotten to adjust the sharpening for the new output size. Here is another attempt (using another shot that includes the stones in the foreground.

Hi Malcolm,

Now this does look a lot better! Very nice - just goes to show how a image can look with a little care taken when processing! Nice one!

Malcom, re-post is much better nice composition and I like the water. Sky is blowing out a bit at its brightest but that could well be my crappy work monitor.
