My first post :-)
Hi everyone.... this is my first post. I am a big Garden Of The Gods fan. Mostly because I cannot afford to travel so much. I am curious to know what everyone thinks of this image  Your comments are greatly appreciated. Seeing the quality of the posts here I know I have a lot to learn...... regards, Rajeev.

Hi Rajeev, great first post! I don't know GOG, but to me this seems like a very unique composition from there. I like how the vertical spire contrasts with the eastern flatlands. The dawn(?) glow is nice, as is the soft light on the rock.

Welcome Rajeev!
What a great image. I love the warm subtle light and the spectacular formations.

The photo is very nice. That tree and I go way back. But I've never composed a shot of it like this. I wish I had! Really good image. Incredible how you've minimized the city off in the distance. This looks like it could be wilderness.

Welcome, Ranjeev! Who needs to travel when you have the GOG as your backyard.

Very nice lighting and composition! You have a lot of excellent GOG (and other) images on your website.

This is the only place I've managed to visit during my stay in Denver, so am bit attached to it.
Welcome, I also like the warm colors here. Nice post.
PS: I live in Germany but do visit RMNP quite often. :wavey:

Welcome Rejeev. We must be neighbors because this is in my backyard too.

Like the others, I think this is a really nice composition from this spot.

You've got several images of the Garden that I've had in mind as well and several unique and pleasing shots of the park.

This is really nice, Rajeev. I appreciate the original comp as much as the warm glow and subtle colors. The way that the spire mimics the trees in the scene really captures the essence of the place, and shows why it's called Garden of the Gods. Great work.

Welcome to RMNP.

Dan, Jeff and Rick....I am thankful for your comments. I enjoy your photography so much. I think I got lucky that evening...it was very quiet and just so beautiful. Thanks again...regards, Rajeev.

Welcome, Rajeev. I agree, this is a really nice image. The variation in textures and tones is pleasing.

One suggestion, the comp could be just a bit stronger with one element becoming dominant. The tree and the distant rock formation compete a bit. But I like the mood of the image.

Welcome to RMNP!
