Hello all, just to let you know that i have just started a trip in the most Northern part of Norway to photograph Kingeiders and Stellar eider. So far it has been very good and managed to photograph both species already. Also excellent opportunities for Arctic and Mealy Redpolls, Pine grossbeak and other species.

The new equipment is working really well under these cold conditions!
All the best
Rene

Heavy snow at the moment in Batsfjord. It has been quite a trek to get here but it has been worth it....well so far that is. Tomorrow we will be heading on a boat into the fjord and try to get in the flocks of King and Steller Eiders. There are also good numbers of Long tailed duck, common eiders, Gaucous and Icelandic gull.

After a lot of electrical issues with the Mark 3s i used i have just moved to the D3/D300 and a number of Nikon lenses.

Welcome to the family :wavey: , I'd be interested in your opinion of the D3 and D300 out in the field. I have a D3 as my main camera and currently a D2x as backup but was contemplating a D300 or another D3 as a replacement to the D3.

Looking forward to your images, what's your 'number of Nikon lenses'
