Thanks to all for comments on previous images. Reading the forum and looking at the work of others is really helpful and I have started to try some of the things I've picked up. So here's another for your views:
Taken in a small strip of woodland being developed as a local nature walk, its literally 50x400m with a small stream down the middle. Anyway, set up on a camp stool behind a bench I used it as a rest for the beanbag across from a nice looking log. A few seeds in the cracks and a quiet sit brought out some of the locals, including this guy who was the most co-operative!
Canon EOS350D, Sigma 80-400 OS @ 400mm, 1/200 at f8, ISO 400. About a 10-15% crop, processing in PSE4

Hi Magnus,
Very nice capture! I agree a little more USM would help!

Lovely shot Magnus. I love robins - one of the few birds that make me feel like I can do this.

Could do with just a touch of USM IMO, just to bring out more detail.
Nice background, good composition, nice image.
Maybe some selective sharpening around the eye and head?
