Horse in Fog
Friday morning we had quite a bit of fog and as it started to lift, I was able to get a few shots of the neighbor's horses behind our house.

20D, 70-200 @ 200, 160 th , f-18, iso 200
Mild cropping and contrast boost.

As always C&C welcome.

Pretty interesting, Merle. I like how the horse and trees kind of form a diagonal line towards the back of the image. It also has a nice subtle feel to it. The space to the left of the horse doesn't seem to help you tell that story, though.

Tim, I agree with the crop suggestion. How's this...

That's definitely a lot tighter story!

Merle, your cropped shot is much more interesting.

Nice shot Merle. I like the new crop also. Can not wait to see the grass turn back green though.

Thanks all for the comments. Yeah Dale, I to am waiting for the green. With all the rain we've been having it has started to green up over the last coupla days. It will just take 3 weeks to dry out enough to get a mower on it. By then I'll probably need a brush hog to get through it.

Hi Merle, I like the cropped version much better and wonder if adding some further softening with gaussian blur might not make this even better. Nice catch!

This is a nice shot, and the crop really makes a difference. I just wish we had decided long ago to bury power lines. I fight power lines every time I go to shoot in Northern KY, so they really stand out to me.

Dominic, I agree about the burying of power lines. But, what you see in this shot is a barbed wire fence with electric fence wire insulators..No way to take them out of the shot within reason.
