Thicket
Taken from the side of Hwy. 65 in the middle of Springfield, it's hard to call this a nature photograph. There is, however, nature everywhere you look and I am endlessly fascinated by the density of these branches. Impenetrable, really.

Canon 20D
ISO 100
f/8 for .5s
EF 100-400@130mm

I like the feeling of peering out at the thickets Tim. I assume you worked the edges of this shot to elicite that sensation. There appears to be some residual effect of the ice storms from last year in the tree tops.

Is the 100-400 a new lens for you? I don't recall seeing it in your arsenal before. If it is ... congrats! I really like the versatility of that lens, including macro work.

There's an eeriness about this that I like, Tim. Good job.

Tim, this shot makes me think there is a haunted house just beyond the view. Nice work.

Not a new lens, Wayne - probably 3 years old now. It's not something you use often in landscape photography, but it does come in handy occasionally.

Tim I agree looks kinda spooky in B/W nice job.

This doesn't look like a place you would want to wander into at night. B/W does it justice.

Nice look Tim.

I can't say this is one of my favorites of yours, Tim - maybe a little spooky for my tastes...but it does have some very nice artistic qualities that I like. Nice work.
