Lee Creek at dusk
Here is a shot taken near dark on Lee Creek about a week ago. This is a little different take than you normal water shot and as many of you know, I am kind of partial to shots of running water. Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Running water is irresistible! Nice job on this one!

Tom it's a beautiful shot of Lee Creek. I love the soft look on the waves, it looks like where buck-n-flush used to be. Where were you at on the creek?

Gale, I was just downstream of "Buck-n-Flush" but I happen to have a shot of that area also. The old surfing wave is gone but there is still a small surfing wave on river right just above the rock in the stream. It is now called "Baby Buck"

Oh - I like that second one much better!

Tim, thanks for your feedback, I was torn between these two shots.

These are nice, Tom. You've done a good job with both images of conveying the energy of the water. Maybe it's just me, but in the first photo I'm a bit distracted by what seems to be a repeating pattern of vertical shapes on the far bank, resembling a fence line. It's still a very pleasing composition.

Nice shots Tom. I prefer the second one because it goes from the calm clear water at the bottom to the fast rapids at the top. It leads my eye into the shot.

Both are very nice. Thanks for posting.

Tom, I have to say I'm in for the second one, too. IT does create a nice opposition with the still water in the FG and the rough water through the frame. Great execution.

I like 'em both, Tom, but I think the second one is a little stronger. I might also suggest cropping the top part to eliminate some of the brush that isn't helping the image a whole lot.

I'll bet it's rockin and rollin today!

I like the first one Tom. Great shot!

I'm torn Tom. I like the contrast of the calm water and rapids in the second shot but I like the "sense of place" that I get from the first one. How about that for riding the fence!

I love the second image, the riverbed rocks anchor the action. Great image.
thanks for sharing.
