Male Brambling
A good friend of mine has the most amazing Garden with Tree Sparrows, Yellowhammers, Siskins and a large flock of Brambling visiting his feeders. Thanks to him I spent today trying to photograph them on a number of different perches. This one was my favourite.

Hi Danny,

Lovely shot. Nice perch with a very nice BG. Being super critical, the two white patches look hot, but easy to sort out in CS.

Nice work

Regards

Best brambling shot I've seen in a long time. The rusty wire makes a great perch.

Looks like it was a productive morning - good props always make a good image opportunity better eh

Nice shot of a bird I haven't seen yet. I'm undecided about the perch - the barbed bit is a little distracting - but I would be delighted to have it.

Great shot and setting Danny!
Have to agree the white spots are a tad hot though..

Well done getting this beautiful bird!

As usual nicely done, and stunning complementory colours.

One small nit though the DOF is just a touch too narrow - the wing primary tips and tail feathers are soft

Nice i like it Danny, i'm not a huge fan of man made perches but its still a nice image.

Lovely light and detail Danny. We wouldn't expect anything less from you.

There were a pair of these at Titchwell a couple of weeks ago and as I had never knowingly seen one before I took the opportunity to try and get a shot. Plenty of good views but they just didn't settle. Came home empty handed.
