Hold on to my hat
The Great Blue Heron was hunkering down on the pier, windy day. I love these birds-Port Aransas, Tx. Comments.

This is a wonderful shot Mary! I love the diagonal lines in the weathered dock and the perfect oof water as the background to set off your subject. Great work! :toast:

Nice work, Mary. This guy doesn't look too happy about the wind or something. Kinda has that evil eye look.

Great blues are very serious (looking) birds. They can stand, for what seems like hours, without moving an inch. When they walk it appears to be in minus slow motion. Thanks for the comments, but I must say the creature has to take alot of credit-beautiful form, feathers, color. You gotta love those "lucky shots".

Beautiful shot Mary. I like the detail, composition, and the perfect aperture/exposure combination. He does look like there is some serious thinking going on there. Because of the great detail you can see that half pupil which gives the impression of attitude. Way to go!
