Well I braved the hurricane this morning, in the vain hope of getting some Hare's in action, but they were in the middle of the field, trying to keep as low as possible, and out of the wind, but on the way there, this French Person was sat on the verge, and I was allowed to get within 15feet of him.

Hi Stewart,
Cracking image of this very handsome bird. The only thing that does distract slightly is the two OOF twigs going across the frame, but that really is nit picking on this very nice image.

The frenchman was obviously keeping down to avoid the hurricane like you Stewart.
This subject is always nice and colouful and as here being very obliging.

I take it the wind had blown his berret away the Stewart - what a superbly vivid and colourful image
If you don't mind I'd like to venture cloning out the two diagonal OoF grass stalks as they are quite strong graphically - but it's a great image - nice one
Hi Guys...
I will repost an updated version shortly,as I think that you are correct in your CC.

Lovely shot of a common and sometimes over looked bird. Colours look spot on and a nice head turn. Twigs don't bother me.

Rob
PS Excuse my ignorance but are Red Legged Partridges French

Thanks for that. I have heard of Greys/English obviously but when I've heard talk of "French" partridges, didn't realise they meant Red Legged
