Hi to all,
Coot , photographed this morning at my local reservoir , after an aborted trip to the coast(Blast you Met Office forecast ) and a fruitless morning of looking for Adders(too cold and windy ) I called in at my local reservoir in hope of capturing some more feats of water walking by the Coots , this was not to be due to the very strong winds and a swell of about 2ft , maybe next time

Well exposed shot Andrew and as you say under not the best of conditions this morning.
The angle does give you the feeling that it needs correcting IMO.

Hi Andy,
Very nice capture! Well handled with the exposure!
He does seem to be swimming down and out of the frame!

Maybe it's because I just spent a fruitless week ploughing through waves like this on Windermere, but I like the swell in this shot. It doesn't feel too 'wrong' to me because the bird's neck is upright and the water in the BG is level. I like it, it adds life to an essentially still subject. Eric
