I've been wanting to find a field like this, the only thing is this was the only tree in the entire field. Comments appreciated.

Nice peaceful springtime scene, Gale. This looks like home. I like how the purple flowers recede for what looks like forever, to finally lead the eye to the distant tree line; this lends a sense of scale to the picture.

Wonderful image Gale. I love the simplicity of the natural beauty.

Gale, what a find. The only nit I have is that I think the tree is a little too centered. Just my taste.

I also like the line that leads your eye to the distant trees and the barn. The colors are great. - scott

Hi Gale,

Nice landscaped shot of henbit, Lamium amplexicaule, a European annual. Do have a view showing the tree placement in the lower left of the frame? That would be a good reference point for the eye to begin the journey diagonally along the path leading to the upper right. If you took the picture this weekend, the henbit would still be in flower for the next several days.

Best,
Don

Wow, what a beautiful field of purple! Wish you would have had a few more trees but, still a nice shot.
