Rale d`eau....
Bonjour
Last year, like today we had a bit of snow in Bucks! it was like a little miracle.....snow for one day.....I had at the time one feeding station where water rail were coming on regular basis. Water rail in water or on mud is good but on snow that would be incredible.That`s was my thought that morning last year....it took me four attempt to reach the little village where my feeding station was...it is at 10 km from my house (The road were very bad and with a car who does not have four wheele drive it was very difficult) After reaching my hide the snow was superb!and STILL there!!!...I just place a few caster and withing 5 minutes I had waterail in the snow! That was a great and succeful day last year...This is one of the picture

This is excellent! I was with a bird-watching group today in reed beds and we heard these calling - nobody saw one though.
