Crestone Peak(-a-boo) along with Crestone Needle (left).

Clearing fog in the Wet Mountains. Heckuva way to spend Easter sunrise. I hope somebody was up on Rampart Range (like I would've been, had I not overslept), because conditions were perfect from where I was seeing them.

In fact, it's 12:25 and conditions still look like they could be good up on RRR. If these clouds hold til sunset, somebody should go up there and make some images. Start in Woodland Park and work your way down.

Todd,
That first shot of Crestone is sweet! It looks like your patience paid off in finding a window of light.
I am looking forward to shooting Crestone from closer up this summer!
BTW, I spent Thurs. night at the very scenic Hotel Maxima right along RR. The room even came with a panoramic view of the moon setting over the Sangre range.

Love the clouds in that first image. Very nice.

Like the Crestones Peak and Needle image. Very cool! I think the third one needs some sharpening.
Hmmm, Hotel Maxima huh? Well, that doesn't hold a candle to the leather sofas in the Pathfinder Inn Derek Then again that never made it outta the driveway! The wife and I have been planning to go the last two weekends... foiled both times! Next weekend! Oh! Nice shots there Cloudman!

Wow, that first shot is very cool, and unique, don't think I have seen such a shot with the fog above as well. Todd, way way great!
Nice take on Crestone. I would have gone to RR but had to settle on GOG due to time constraints. From the Garden, RR looked pretty hopeless but hard to say.
Love the cloud shots! I was going to go up RRR but according to the forecast and what it looked like here in WP, I figured by the time the sun started to break through, it would be too high in the sky, and you could go from overcast light to harsh light in an instant. So I stayed home and worked on my Antarctica images instead. Later about 12:30 the sun did finally break through but as I thought, it was too harsh, too fast. The clouds didn't dissipate slowly enough to allow for a period of soft light, a least here in WP, maybe up on RRR it might have happened slower, though.
