hi
iv been using a feeding station over this winter and could do with some more info so here goes.
iv been spacing my feeders out over the base of a tree at about head hight, is this the best method or would i be best using a feeding table and to pull the birds away from the tree so i could have better control over the perches , background ect.
also do you use your feeding station over summer to and if you do can you target sum of the summer visiting birds buy using target foods for these birds and what foods do you use.
all thi info you can give will be off a great help to me so
thanks in advance
chris

Chris - you need to be careful with your feeder contents once there's chicks in the nest, parent birds are not averse to feeding sunflower seeds and peanuts to tiny mouths, and dried mealworms don't contain very much in the way of vital moisture either.
Best leave feeders alone once breeding starts, though you can use plain white maggots, plain squatts or live mealworms in small dishes, modified log feeders etc - once parents find them you'll be VERY busy, and also quite poorer, have you seen the price of maggots
I've PM'd you
