Rather than make two posts, I thought I would ask two questions in one. Any comments greatly appreciated.
1. I am closing on a building for a gallery in downtown Rogers tomorrow. Has anyone seen any great looking galleries I should visit while trying to figure out how to renovate this building? I recently visited the Mengelson Gallery in KC and Rodney Lough's in Minneapolis both were really nice but I would like to see a few more. These were pretty mainstream and I think we want to go a little more eclectic or deco. Downtown Rogers is trying to turn into an art district with musical and art activities pretty much throughout the summer. Our building is directly across from the Rogers Little Theater so the exposure should be pretty good.
2. I am just getting into canvas printing. Would anyone with experience care to share what you do to finish/seal the prints prior to stretching.
Congrats on opening the gallery, Ed! I had a few prints on display at Julie Wait's gallery earlier this year, and was really pleased with her setup. I think the main thing to watch for is that your lighting is bright enough, and that it's not placed at an angle that will reflect off the glazing into the viewers eyes. I thought that Julie also had a great setup for hanging - you might stop in and ask to take a look. I don't think Barb would mind.
Did you make it over to Cloudland when Tim had his open house?

I didn't get the word on Tim's open house until the day after the event.
