Hi Steve - very nice comp imho and nice and sharp where it matters :toast:

Perhaps a tad too much contrast.

The blacks and dark midtones are looking a bit blue/cyan.

Nice one :wavey:

I think I agree with Andy about the colours. Like his shot of the sanderlings though I can't make my mind upo about background out of focus birds. Tricky one for me. Lovely pose on the main bird though.

I like the composition but agree the colours could do with toning down a bit. A nice image.

Hands up guys, have to agree. This has happened before on another posting. Would you suggest reducing the magenta in selective colour, or how would you resolve this issue? I try not to do too much 'Post prod' as it then becomes a 'crutch' rather than a tool, if you know what I mean.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

Lovely capture! I know what you mean I have the same problem at times and like you, I try not to 'Post prod' too much either! Cure - I haven't found it yet!

Steve - VERY rough colour balance change:

Contrast -25
Colour balance - Midtone - Blue -40
Hue/Sat - Master - Sat -25 Light - +5

Looks a tad flat - needs a bit of 'punch' but you get the general idea

Would work much better done on either the full tiff or in a RAW handler :wavey:

Interesting post, re-post much better colours. Would you mind telling us how you managed to change the colours, Andy?

Really nice shot Steve. I think that the repost has better colours.
