The Bell, Coniston
Having sat by the side of a river on my favourite reserve for a few hours waiting for either an Otter or Kingfisher without success, I thought I'd try to get even colder and head up to the hills near Coniston Old Man. I succeeded, and even managed to photograph something!

Next week I'll be in the Mojave Desert where hopefully things will be a bit warmer  and then on into the Sierra Nevada mountains for a while.....be prepared to be bored by holiday shots

Hello Paul
Any room in your luggage next week  ?
I like this scene, I wonder if you pulled back slightly to include all of the tree in the F/G.
Best wishes

Lovely shot.

Takes me back to my undergrad summer spent mapping the geology of this area whilst basking in the output from Chernobyl (that dates it). The Bell was my favourite seat for a spot of lunch watching the tourists tramp up past the old slate and copper mines....  happy days

Beautiful scene. Your holiday will be quite a change from these conditions. Looking forward to some shots from there.
