Jay
Always delightful to watch from close up, and strangely very tame when in water. Good to get the crest up too.
Same details as other pool stuff with triple flash.
Comments welcome.

these pool shots are superb John. I've never seen an image of a Jay like this before, that's a great hair-do. Depending on how worried you are by such things, you could always clone out the extra catch-lights in the eye.
Great shot of the jay in a funny pose. Would have loved a lower angle though!

Thanks.
Forgot about the catchlights!
As I say about the angle I can't reallyalter the hide - I built it too well.!
I have this slight thing about low angles too. Its all the craze -especially with waders on the coast at Salthouse for example.Trouble is- we would never really see a bird like that in normal life - uless we were a Stoat perhaps !
Its just a matter of personal taste.
Thanks for your interest.

Very nice... I am quite happy with the angle on these shots...
Looking forward to more....

Another gem from the magic pool. Well done John.
I have only just discovered this site so I'll have to trawl back through your posts to find out about your setup.
Cheers

Keep putting them up John - another beauty. I'd be interested to hear more about how you set this pool up. Is it out in the open? a real one or an artificial? You've certainly made good use of it. Eric

Outstanding! Simply loving this series of shots from your pond!
cracking shot of one of my favourite birds. It's great to see a familiar bird in a different manner.
Lot more to come if you can all stand it. !!
