western Rocky Mountain NP yesterday
I FINALLY got out to get some photos, I haven't been able to do it in a couple of months (probably not since November or early December) so I gues I am a little rusty

This first one, the snow has a yellowish hue to it, I tried to minimize it in photoshop. what do you think,

some of the streams are starting to thaw out, that must mean spring is around the corner....or wait, I guess it's here already gee, how time flies

I don't know if I should have included the trees or not, most of them are dead.

I like this image Paul. I like it when the streams begin to thaw out and you can see the small openings like you have in this image. As for the trees, I think it is a testament to the ravages of the beetle infestation and how this state is going to see massive changes in the landscape over the next few years. We need to do whatever we can to encourage safe ways to combat what is happening to the lodgepoles.

Love the clouds in the first one! I'm still picking up a little yellowish cast from here, but it's a nice early spring scene and mood.

I'm diggin #1 Paul. It is a little on the yellow side I think though. Maybe a little bit of additional tweaking in PS will help.

I just got out this past weekend for the first time in months, so I know what you mean about the rust.

The first one is really nice, albeit yellow all over. You might try a selective color adjustment layer, select whites from the drop down list, and subtract yellow. If you want to restore yellow to the clouds (not sure I would) or the sunlit mountainsides (probably advisable), just paint on the mask with a black brush in those areas to hide your yellow reductions. (edited my mistake)

Hope you don't mind, but here's the 60-second version.

And here it is with yellow taken out of just the snow in the foreground. Two minutes, tops.
