Having seen Helge Sorensens excellent shot of a buzzard showing the upper side of the bird it reminded me of a similar Red Kite photo I had. To look at it you would think it was flying alongside me but believe me I was on the ground and it must have been in the air! As the bird does not appear to be 'banking over' I still find it hard to imagine how I got to photograph such a side on view.

Hi Robert,
Before I start I have to admit I'm setting up a new monitor and have been playing around for three or four days now! with a little bit of an issue with sharpness and contrast! So forgive me if I make a mistake!
Hi Robert, this is a great shot, I'm a sucker for upper sides of raptors, and this is both well-lit, sharp and showing good DOF (sharp from wingtip to wingtip). Top notch
