Where do you get yours? I want to wrap the legs of my GT2530. I apready have the padding (pipe insulation) but need some good, no slip, real cloth camo tape.
Try a sporting goods supplier like Cabelas. They offer a variety...

In every Cabelas store I've been in, the center third of the store is given over to camo products. Camo everything, including underwear. There's bound to be tape in there somewhere. Of course, it will be camo and hard to see...

The camo tape is in the archery section of Cabelas. Any full line outdoor store such as Bass Pro Shop should have it too. One thing I'll mention though is that while it's designed to peel back off, I don't advise leaving it on permanently. I did that with my expensive Beretta shotgun and the adhesive on the tape eventually hardened and was a booger to get off. I do have camo tape on the upper legs of my Gitzo tripod. The correct color camo is white, of course.

I bought mine in the hunting section of Dicks.

It gets wrapped on the pipe insulation. No need to wrap in on the leg section itself. I have had mine Bogen Tripod set up like that for years. The biggest problem I have is that it wears off the insulation from rubbing on my shoulder and has to be replaced periodically.

Identi-Tape offers it directly to the public, but charges extra for small orders. They used to hav a much larger selection a while back, but now have gone to vinyl covered cloth in many types of the tape, but they still have some regular cloth tapes available too.

I use bicycle handlebar tape on mine. It's available in any bike shop and not very expensive. It is also fairly easy to remove when you need to replace it. :
If you can find it get a product called Camo Form Tape, it's made by a company called McNett. It comes in many camo patterns, has no residue, and can be removed and reused. I'm in the hunting retail buisness and can tell you it's the best camo tape out there. You can find it on line at ramseyoutdoor.com
