Barn Owl Hunting

Morning all,

I have spent some time chasing these birds around the fields recently. I have still to get the picture I am after as they prefer to go back to the Barn just before the sun gets high enough in the sky to clear the hedgerows and buildings. Gives me an excuse to try again another day.

500mm, f4, ISO640 and 1/200, so no light...

Good one. Great the way that small bit of vegetation in the foreground lets you know the habitat the bird is over. Good example of when to leave stuff in !

A very nice image. If I was being super super super picky I'd say I'd like a small amount off the top but that would probably only be my jealousy talking :biggrin:

Agree with Colin: there's just something about barn owls, at least for me: love them. Joining this place has "infected me": I'm getting a list of things to shoot now too and these are on it!
