Long-Tailed Tit
1D2n, 600mm f4 is x1.4TC, 1/500s, f6.3, Flash FEC -2.0, iso 400.

I found a pair of these busy collecting feathers for their nest and had a great couple of hours chasing them. I can see they present a real challenge in getting them in a clear position, and later in composition. I'll be re-visiting the site!

Nice image just wishing for at tad more DOF. With converters I would normally go f7.1 - f8 as minimum :wavey:

Hi Ian

Nice shot - I'm OK with DOF but a little more eye contact would have been good. That said a nice image!

Well Ian it's a damn sight better than I did last week-end. In a perfect world I think I'd like to see a lower viewpoint but I know all to well the difficulties getting these hyperactive little birds. Nice shot.

As David said: a bit more eye contact would have been nice but pleasing image overall
