Hi all,

My name is Sharon and I live just outside of Albany, NY with my two teenage sons and an assortment of pets. I have been interested in photography for a long time but only recently have had some time to devote to actually learning the art. I enjoy taking pictures of pretty much anything in nature. I am still learning and experimenting and yet to have a 'favorite' method or object to photograph. I do have a passion for birds, raptors in particular, and have lots of pictures of tail feathers  . In looking at the galleries of some of those here, I hope that my images will be half as good someday.

I also have an interest in image forensics - detecting forged or altered images. This evolved as I merged my education in computer forensics with my photography hobby.

My website, www.sakurabana-visions.com, is up but VERY much under construction. I hope that once this semester of college is over, I'll have a bit of time to spend on it. Between work, college and kids, time is scarce!

I look forward to learning from all of you and sharing some as I learn more as well.

Sharon

Welcome Sharon. As a grandmother raising grandchildren I know how precious tiime to photograph can be. You have an interesting background... guess I should be careful where I post an altered image!

Hi Sharon!! Welcome!! I hope you enjoy this site. When I was between 5 to 10 years old, I lived in Loudonville. I don't remember much but I am still friends with one of my playmates even after 40 years. Look forward to your participation.

Welcome to NPN, Sharon. My shooting buddy, John Benway and I both live in the Schenectady/Rotterdam area. If ever you're looking to get out on a Saturday morning, give us a shout. We can usually be found in the woods around here at least a couple times a month (most times more).
