Smooth newt
I decided to have a cycle round a few of my local ponds looking for frogs didn't find any frogs but did find 2 pond fulls of smooth newts unfortunately I didn't have my polariser with me but I may go back tomorrow whether permitting.

Know it looks a unusual angle but she was swimming round in circles and on to hear back. The males didn't seem that interested and stayed towards the centre of the pond and also managed to get a few dragonfly larval swimming around.

Really nice posture in the subject, love the face and jaw detail, and the tiny trapped bubbles really add interest - very nice :wavey:
