Well, I got back from a trip to Arkansas late last night. I must apologize to those of you who went out shooting during the week. I seem to have brought the sun and wind with me from Kentucky. I also noticed what Tim E noticed, that the upper drainages were surprisingly dry considering the massive flooding downstream. I was shocked when crossing the Mississippi and White Rivers on the way in and out of Arkansas. This is a shot from one pretty good day I had out at Longpool. The falls were not great, but the bloodroot and trout lily were getting pretty thick, and the "breeches" were starting to emerge. I found two, but saw evidence of many to come.

FYI, the dogwoods are getting THICK around Millwood Lake. It was sunny and windy when I was there. Spring is rapidly creeping north through the Ouachitas. I'll be back to AR in a couple of weeks. I expect all of you in Arkansas to have spring shooting ready for me when I get there.

Beautiful shot of one of my favorite wildflowers - in fact I was out shooting a few today, and will post a shot later. These are a challenge to do well, but you've certainly done nicely on these.

Thanks for the update around Millwood.

These are high on my "to do" list. Or maybe I should say "to do well" list. I have a couple of shots but nothing to shout about. These are some beauties in their prime. They look just a tad soft on my monitor but still soft and lovely!

I am looking forward to the arrival of these neat little flowers here. They are so photogenic but can be tough to capture if the wind is blowing at all. The dark background really makes them stand out. Looks good.

Wayne this one is a little soft. I fought the wind all day, but I think this one is actually fighting a DOF issue(my fault). I have some other comps that I actually prefer, and here's an example. It might be my favorite Dutchmen shot from the trip.

The whites look good Dominic, well controlled. I like both of these images! Thanks for sharing.

Dominic, glad you made back to God's Country. Is there a chance you will make the gathering?

Tom, as much as I want to come, the gathering would require a third trip to Arkansas in four weeks. But I wish you all well, and happy shooting!

Dominic beautiful images and well composed. I hope you get some good ones on your next trip out.
