Jim, Thanks for updating the themes page.

Folks, Jim has been kind enough to update The Weekly Themes page for us.

Some of the themes we've chosen might take some research, special planning, and/or keeping in mind as we are out and about shooting.

The themes for the next few months include:

First Signs of Spring
Post Processing Techniques using inexpensive Point-and-Shoot Cameras
Earth Day - April 22nd
High Dynamic Range Merges
Celebrating Cinco de Mayo Day
Night Shots
No Child Left Indoors
Fungi
City Life
Patterns in Nature
Summer Solstice
Slow Shutter Panning & Zooming
July 4th Celebrations

Now I'm busy at work collecting ideas for summer, fall, and winter so please put your thinking caps on and come up with some new ideas.

Thanks, :wavey:

Good, Glad to hear it Kent

In the interim, check out this week's theme, working with desaturation and maintaining at least one color. We're experimenting with some good stuff from red-eyed Grebes to Magic Windows, a Dahlia with a center that looks like fire, Flying Flowers and more ...

What a great place to learn, grow, and have fun :toast:

OK, Danny, and others too

How about coming up with Nature-related themes that fit other countries.

The best I've been able to do so far as been St. Patrick's Day, and Cinco de Mayo day with red, green, and white colors.

I'm looking for bunches of new ideas.

Thanks guys, :wavey:

"Waitangi Day" and you HAVE to take a shot of a Kiwi, a Weta or a Tui in a Kowhai tree in the wild at night time........using just a candle. Ha, I win
