We walked in dry and walked out dry, but most of the day storm after storm rolled over the Dismal Creek area, where Junie and I stayed more or less dry under the Glory Hole bluff.
Looks like a nice place to spend some time, especially when it's raining! Beautiful photograph, Randy - love the mood...

It was also nice to have twenty feet of solid rock over our heads with all the cracking and booming of thunder that was going on. There were times when it sounded like a war.
Another photographer who was there for awhile hiked in during one of the storms. He's braver than I am, for sure. Nice to meet you, though, Jim!

Neat shot, Randy. The dark corners work well. I bet it was loud underneath there.. it sure looks it.

Thanks, John, I hope you had a chance to make it out today. Looks like we've got more rain headed this way, too. Now if we could only get a little green going.

Well, it was loud enough that I didn't hear the name right. The photographer I met was Ben and not Jim. Good to meet you anyhow, Ben.

I guess dry is a state of mind. Still looks rather damp and moist inside the cave. Good work on this one Randy. Thanks for sharing.

Randy, great perspective on the Glory Hole. It seems that everytime that I have been there the bright sky was overpowering. I guess a good ole downpour is the answer.
