Backlit Badlands
In the Anza-Borrego Desert in very early light. This is a closeup of a much larger area of twisty narrow canyons, but you already knew that!

Hi Jeffrey,

The composition really showcases this maze of (twisty) canyons. The glowing highlight on the ridge tops is also quite something. Nice!

Great Capture Jeffrey :jump:
Don't they have a usable outhouse from Bodie along that road? j/k
Wonderful lighting... what time was it and how cold was it?
Just curious....was this one frame or an HDR?
Just trying to learn....
Thanks for sharing this beauty!!

in gratitude,
Nelcha

Come on, Nelcha, one question at a time!

One exposure, no outhouse (no sign of man at all, in fact), not cold (only about 500 feet elevation), about 6:45 AM, very little post processing.

Thanks, all, for the kind comments.

Nice shot, at first I thought it was a dirt road but itlook more like a river bed. Very nice light and the comp works well too.
